Hi friend!

Allow me to introduce myself — I’m Cicily and I’m KindaEco.

A Little About Me

I grew up in small-town Alabama in between the forests and the beach. I’m a child of the ’90s and the middle of eight children, so I know a thing or two about conservation and “recycle, reuse, reduce” (does anyone other than me remember that song? Listen here)

I love beautiful things, collard greens (LOL), and beach sunsets — and my passion for conservation and eco-conscious living stems from the desire to protect and preserve those beautiful, sandy spaces.

I haven’t always been into eco-conscious living. In fact, I’m still learning something new and growing every day on this journey. And while it’s sometimes incredibly difficult to resist a SHEIN or FashionNova sale (their marketing is insane), I know that the choices I’m making are contributing to a healthier, happier environment.

A Little About Byrne Street

Byrne Street is a project that is near and dear to my heart. It was conceived after watching a few documentaries, being involved in a few cleanup efforts (shoutout to Alabama Coastal Cleanup), and doing quite a bit of research. I realized that if I was struggling to find recycling resources and make eco-conscious choices, then there were probably several people out there, just like me, who also needed help! I desired to create a space where I could document my own eco-efforts while helping people looking to make those small lifestyle changes that can make a big impact on our planet.

For me, those changes started in the home. As I evaluated my own plastic and single-use product consumption, I realized that I could do much better with the products I was buying and how I used them. Small things like switching from shower gel to bar soap or compostable washcloths instead of paper towels inspired me to dive even deeper into the world of sustainability. I wanted to fill my home with earth-friendly products! I began researching eco-conscious artisans and makers to support, and Byrne Street was born.

I realized that if I was struggling to find recycling resources and make eco-conscious choices, then there were probably several people out there, just like me, who also needed help

While Byrne Street will have beautiful gifts and wooden, stone, and glass collections, my ultimate goal is to educate and inspire eco-conscious living. I truly believe that together, we can create a brighter and greener future for ourselves and the generations to come.

And PLEASE don’t get it twisted — I’m not perfect at all when it comes to sustainability. In fact, that’s why I refer to myself as KindaEco. Every day is a new journey, and I invite you to join me! I promise I’ll hold your hand, share my wins and failures, and help lead the way. Together we can make a difference.

Let’s grow!

xoxo
